...To IMPART THE JOVIAL TOUCH

Reasons enough you will find to turn sad,
Which will make your life hellish and mad,
And dig out every petty cause to numb your senses,
Certainly stupor is the result and life being marked by tempest.

Life is thus a turmoil and struggle its way out,
So know life to be a road amidst thorns,
But let your legs get stout,
To reap life's harvest and to gains the corns.

It is you, who can afford to make life happy,
For, only you can cling to every miniscule reason and that is not uncanny,
Believing round the clock that tears are not of your share,
And dreaming a dream and not a nightmare.
Happiness and the feeling of success are not things which are awarded,
Only you have to realize it and feel rewarded,
Therein lies the spirit of life and the key to satisfaction,
Extirpating you time and again to inundate with placation.

So rise from the ashes, and be placid,
And let it be a reality and not fancied,
Because, you are yourself the maestro to "impart the jovial touch",
And then woes never matter much!

Addiction

Somebody told me, "Blogging is like an addiction." It is an interesting assertion, which I believe I would second to. Rather, I think in a different manner about blogging. There are a handful of things in life you really cherish doing; and the people who are into the habit of blogging often tend to be of two kinds: people who ventilate on the external everyday but interesting happening, and secondly, the people who love to reflect. I belong to the second genre. And I know to these category of people, writing is often a tool which carries you away from everything else, just as a glass or two of wine would do!
This takes me to this funny poem found here:

A series of addictions
from which to jump or swim
longing for the next

when you can help many
but yourself
it feels fake wearing a smile

oh but the moneys great
and I can do whatever I want
except that I usually just don't care

as you grow older
the mind slows
and I am scared of the though, of the day
I am no longer addicted!
